FAQ Permanent Make Up
-
What is Permanent Make Up (PMU)?
Permanent Makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing that enhances facial features by implanting pigment into the skin. It’s ideal for creating defined brows or natural-looking lip colour saving you time and boosting confidence.
-
Is PMU the same as a tattoo?
Not exactly. PMU uses a smaller machine, finer needles, and specially formulated pigments that are designed to fade over time. Unlike traditional tattoos, PMU is semi-permanent and gradually softens and fades as your skin regenerates.
-
How long does Permanent Make Up last?
Results vary depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare, but typically:
Brows: 12–24 months
Lip Blush: 2–3 years
A colour boost is recommended every 12–18 months to maintain the best results.
-
Does it Hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. I use a high-quality numbing cream to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the treatment. Clients describe the sensation as a light scratch or pressure and most clients feel they could fall asleep
-
What is the healing process like?
You can expect some light scabbing and flaking over the first 5–10 days. Full healing takes around 4–6 weeks. I provide detailed aftercare instructions and support to ensure your results heal beautifully.
-
Who is PMU suitable for?
PMU is ideal for anyone who wants to save time, has sparse brows or pale lips, or wants to feel more confident with little to no daily makeup. It’s also perfect for those with busy lifestyles, allergies to makeup, or uneven features.
FAQ Dermal Fillers
-
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, smooth fine lines, enhance facial contours, and create a more youthful, refreshed appearance. They’re made of hyaluronic acid – a substance naturally found in the skin.
-
What areas can be treated?
Common areas include:
Lips – to add volume, shape, or definition
Cheeks – for lift and contour
Chin & Jawline – to define and sculpt
Nasolabial folds & Marionette lines – to soften deep lines
Tear Troughs – to reduce the appearance of tired eyes (if suitable)
-
How long can Dermal Fillers last?
It varies depending on the area treated and your metabolism, but typically:
Lips: 6–12 months
Cheeks & Jawline: 9–18 months
Tear Troughs: 9–12 months
Top-up appointments are recommended to maintain your results. -
Does it Hurt?
Most clients find it very tolerable. The filler contains lidocaine (a local anaesthetic), and I also use a strong numbing cream to keep you comfortable throughout. You may feel a little pressure or a tiny pinch during the injections.
-
Will I look overdone?
Not at all. My approach is all about enhancing your natural beauty — think fresh, subtle, and balanced results. I’ll always work with your facial structure to achieve a look that’s flattering and in harmony with your features.

What's the difference between Botox and fillers
Botox relaxes the muscles to reduce wrinkles caused by movement (like frown lines or crow’s feet), while fillers add volume to restore structure or plump up specific areas. Both can be used together for a full-face refresh.
